After arriving home from Ireland early this morning, we slept in our own bed for the first time in over two weeks, though waking up way too early. Suitcases were unpacked and clothes wash, dried, and folded or hung up. Though suffering from jet lack, I made it to the pickleball courts and Kay got a “cut and color”. It is really hot here; heat index in triple digits every day!
Saturday, August 21, was another pickleball day for the both of us, and then on Sunday, I managed to take a few photos of butterflies in the garden, including a female Diana Fritillary.

I also managed to take photos on the following Tuesday and Wednesday, and then again on Sunday and Monday, the last two days of the month.

Also, I quietly celebrated a 77th birthday.
Kay, meanwhile, returned to her busy social calendar, along with pickleball and golf.
We’re still recovering from the international trip a few days ago.
